Congregation Highlight: St. Mark’s United Methodist Church

St. Mark’s United Methodist Church has been a host congregation with Family Promise of Sacramento since we started in April 2005. St. Mark’s is located near the intersection of Watt and El Camino Avenues in the Arden-Arcade area, behind the Country Club Plaza. St. Mark’s is a welcoming community devoted to healing lives with God’s grace, making heaven real on earth. This mission is pursued through active seeking, building and celebrating. Even though it is rooted in the Methodist tradition, St. Mark’s is a community of people who are in many different places on their spiritual journey. Everyone is surrounded by loving support and is encouraged to ask foundational questions. There is a wide range of beliefs, but unity comes from a commitment to making God’s love and grace real and bringing God’s justice to reality.
